As the sun sets, darkness enters lives so deeply that the future itself becomes uncertain. To illumine dark homes, Kadamba launched “E-Belaku”, its green energy initiative, in February 2009.
Background
E-Belaku creates awareness among rural people about renewable energy such as solar and LED lighting for communities and SHGs.
Kadamba identified villages the government had not yet reached and distributed LED solar lanterns free of cost to all villagers, without discrimination of caste or political faith.
Villages covered
Solar panels distributed free across Karnataka
