Many people in rural areas could not get proper education because of their socio-economic conditions. Kadamba has conducted skill development training through Jana Shikshana Samsthana-Karwar and NABARD in Uttara Kannada.

Background

Kadamba particularly engaged women in this economically sustainable movement. The results are visible even today: thousands of women were trained and started their own enterprises or formed their own groups such as SHGs.

Activities

  • Bee-keeping
  • Tailoring
  • Coir thread making
  • Handicrafts
  • Soap and detergent making
  • Candle making
