One of Kadamba’s unique programmes, designed for rural workers in high-risk occupations such as areca nut and coconut gardens.

Background

With the General Insurance Company, Kadamba proposed low-cost insurance schemes in Uttara Kannada; more than 3,000 people enrolled. Kadamba also worked with Sudananda Health Care Limited, Bengaluru, in health insurance — benefiting more than 5,000 people.

Kadamba was a pioneer in introducing insurance schemes for the unorganised sector, particularly in rural areas.
